Clare Earnest is a Painter and visual artist currently attending the University of North Texas in Denton. As a child, she was distressed by the way time passed so quickly; it felt like beautiful moments were always changing and slipping away. As an adult, this has developed into a healthy appreciation for the joys of both simple moments and periods of great change alike. She brings this into her studio practice though a focus on her own experience of the world, and the use of personal photographs as references, taken anytime something around her piques her interest.

Clare continues to experiment and develop her practice, as she is always looking to improve her skills. She has worked with oil paint, graphite, charcoal, gouache, oil pastel, and acrylic paint throughout her career. After graduation, she plans to continue her education and become an illustrator in addition to her current artistic practice. She hopes she can use her experience portraying her own perspective to help illuminate other’s stories
